The United States naval vessel USS Carr intercepted 324 kilograms of cocaine during its latest patrol in the Eastern Pacific Ocean. The total cost of the recovered cocaine is estimated at $26 million. Crew initially detected a suspicious vessel and later recovered jettisoned cargo which later tested as cocaine. Carr is currently deployed under Operation Martillo, which is part of a larger joint military task force conducting counter-transnational organized crime patrols.
