Nicholas R. Smith

Nicholas Ross Smith is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Canterbury's National Centre for Research on Europe. He is the author of the book EU-Russian Relations and the Ukraine Crisis (Edward Elgar, 2016). In addition to his main research focus on regional security complexes (particularly Eastern Europe), Nicholas also has secondary interests in International Relations theory, democratization of post-Communist states, and democratic theory (especially Athenian democracy).
